BACKSTORY

Le 28 Décembre Dernier, 

Le Massacre des Saints Innocents, 

the Governor of Illinois and his DreadCoatShockTroopers, 

burned down the old pastoral orphanage, 

Our Lady of the Sawdust, 

on the north bank of the Illinois River 

across from Starved Rock, 

but the six orphans 

and their two adult guardians escaped 

before killed or captured.

A crucial Presidential election year, 

the Governor aims to destroy all visible signs of religion 

-- from stone to stalk -- 

and detain the guardians at Rabbits, 

the lockup inside Chicago's Jackson Park 

Presidential Library and Center for Surgical Reassignment, 

then turn the orphans into 

androgynous precinct captains.
